Easy Homemade Granola

I promised y’all I would share my homemade granola recipe from my Go-To Snacks post, and today is the day! I hesitate to even call this a recipe because it is so simple, but I think it tastes way better than store bought and it’s so much cheaper. I like to keep my granola simple and just add in some mini chocolate chips, but the options are endless. You can use it on yogurt, in cereal, or just eat it plain!

Easy Homemade Granola

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup (or honey)
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • pinch of salt
  • Possible add ins: nuts, dried fruit, sunflower seeds, chocolate chips

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Mix together all ingredients (except chocolate chips and dried fruit) until everything is combined and the oats are coated.
  • Pour onto a parchment lined baking sheet and press into a flat, even layer.
  • Bake for 10 minutes then remove from oven and stir. Pat it back down into a flat layer and bake for another 10 minutes, until golden brown.
  • Let it cool completely before crumbling up and adding chocolate chips and dried fruit.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to a month.
