Anyone who knows me, knows how much I love to eat! My family always gives me a hard time because I will ask what we’re having for lunch while we’re currently eating breakfast. Surely I’m not the only one? I also always have a lunchbox full of snacks. Do I eat them all? No, but I like to have options, and you never know when someone else may need one too! Finding snacks that are good for on the go, filling, affordable, and taste great can be a challenge, so I thought I’d share some of my favorites!
Snacks for During Class:
I eat breakfast about 6:30-7:00 each morning, and by 10:30-11:00 my stomach is growling! Thankfully, most of my classes take a break around this time, so I can grab something quickly. I eat lunch at 12:00, so usually my morning snack isn’t quite as filling. The key is that it packs well and I can eat it quickly. I’m not one to count calories, but I’ve found about 150-200 is enough to hold me over without getting too full before lunch, so most of these fall somewhere around that range.
Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate KIND Bars – I love dark chocolate so these granola bars instantly became one of my favorites! I recommend getting the value pack (15 bars) for $8-9. They are so much more expensive in the small packs.
Half a Peanut Butter and Jelly – I have been obsessed with PB&J lately. I use wheat bread, natural peanut butter, and strawberry jelly. If you spread peanut butter on both sides and then put the jelly on top your bread won’t get soggy!
Nuts – Almonds, cashews, and pecans are my personal favorites. I also like the Emerald 100-calorie pack of nuts and dried fruit. They are easy to toss right into my lunch box. I usually get the almond, walnut, and dried cherries variety.
Popcorn = If I’m watching a movie, I will always have popcorn and I usually pack whatever is left in my lunchbox the next day! I usually pair it with some nuts for a more well-rounded snack. My favorite is Orville Redenbacher’s Simply Salted.
Strawberry Fruit and Grain Bars – I don’t eat these as much as I used to, but I went through a phase where I was obsessed with them. The Wal-Mart brand is honestly my favorite, and they are so cheap! You can usually get a pack of 16 for around $3.

Snacks for After Class:
My afternoon snack is usually eaten at home, so most of these aren’t as lunchbox-friendly. I also try to make sure these have more protein content because I usually eat it after I workout.
Greek Yogurt – I change up the flavors often, but my go-to right now is the Dannon Strawberry Cheesecake. I tried this for the first time last week, and it is SO good! I usually top it with some homemade granola (recipe to come soon!) and sometimes some fruit. I will definitely be trying more flavors of this brand.

Cheese and Crackers – I like to use Colby jack sliced cheese and Keebler multigrain club crackers. Sometimes, I’ll do string cheese and crackers on the side.
Boiled Eggs – The Instant Pot has been a game-changer for boiling eggs! They come out perfectly cooked and are so easy to peel. I like mine medium-boiled and seasoned with a little salt and pepper.
Banana and Peanut Butter – I have to be in the mood for this one, but when I am I love it!
Cereal with Milk – I’m not a big fan of cereal for breakfast, but I do like it for a snack, especially after a workout! My favorites are honey nut cheerios and any kind of Special K.
Chips and Salsa – This is usually my go-to if I come home late and need a little something to hold me over before supper. I make homemade salsa (trust me, its quick and easy!) and I don’t ever think I can go back to store-bought again. I will share this recipe soon also!
Ice Cream -This is more of a dessert than a snack, but I couldn’t make a post about some of my favorite foods without including ice cream because it tops them all! I like to say a house is not a home without ice cream in the freezer. I always have a little something sweet after supper, and surprise….that something sweet is usually ice cream. My favorite right now is Neapolitan, but I love it all. Remember, everything is okay in moderation 😉 .

I’d love for you to comment some of your favorite snacks down below! I always need more ideas!
